Length: 2 days

Note: This course can be adjusted for a webcast format.

About this Certificate Program: With some research estimating that as much as 70 percent of all job-related learning occurs informally, harnessing the power of informal learning presents a large opportunity for workplace learning and communication professionals. This certificate program shows how to do so.

Specifically, this certificate program explains how to design informal learning campaigns, which can be used to build on-the-job skills and provide user assistance, and incorporate such Web 2.0 tools such as blogs and wikis, and rating systems, as well as intelligent components such as as wizards. Specifically, this seminar investigates the performance, usability, technical, and editorial considerations involved in designing different types of informal learning products, explains how to choose and coordinate individual products to comprehensively build performance, and provides participants with opportunities to design their own small informal learning campaign.

At the end of this program, students are eligible for a certificate of completion.
