Final Products

A communication product that summarizes a process or an idea primarily using pictures, and that can be used as an aid by someone performing a job or task (hence, the name, job aid).

In addition to using pictures, you should use at least 2 of these graphic devices: shading, lines, indications of motion. Text is limited to 50 words.  Only use for captions and headings. All text must be typeset (no handwritten text).

You may choose the form of the final product: poster (approximately 12 x 18 inches), laminated sheet (one 8.5x11 sheet of paper, using both sides if needed), or flyer (2 or 4 pages).    

You may choose among the following for the topic of your material:

Although you may prepare the text on a word processor, you should do one of the following to prepare the drawings: photographs, scan and adapt drawings from other sources, draw freehand, or cut using construction paper and collage techniques.

This project will be started in class. You should have time to most of the "creative" work there, but will have an opportunity to apply finishing touches at home before submitting the final draft.
