Writing a How-to Article

Final Products

1. Write a how-to article for a website on one of the following topics. The article should not to exceed 900 words.

Topics:

• Job opportunities in professional communication in Hong Kong
• Career ladders for professional communicators
• Financial issues to which every new graduate should pay attention
• How wireless communication might affect professional communication
• Medical issues that every twenty-something should attend to

Note: Research for the article should include an interview with at least one person (student, professor, or administrator) and two articles (either in-print or online).  Of course, you should conduct additional research if that does not provide you with enough information or if you need to verify some of the information from earlier research.

2. Also include a completed planning form. Make sure your completed form includes an outline.
