Generate a list of 7 to 10 questions, as well as responses, on one (and only one) of the following topics:
- Careers in business communication in Hong Kong
- Careers in training in Hong Kong
- Preparing a resume and portfolio for a job search
- Continuing your education after graduation
In your response, you should use a variety of forms of technical writing that were learned
earlier in the semester, includin definitions, procedures, reference entries, and how-to content.

Here's a suggested procedure for preparing the assignment:
- Choose from one of the topics listed above.
- Conduct background research. You might look for
articles on the web or in magazines.
- Schedule an interview with at least one knowledgeable person in your subject area.After conducting the interview and completing the background research, complete the Planning Form.
- List the 7 to 10 questions you plan to address.
- Draft your responses, following guidelines for given in class. Also consider the
guidelines for writing how-to articles.
Note that you are welcome to use lists (especially numbered lists for procedural
information), graphics, examples, and analogies to explain concepts in the responses to
the questions.
- Show the questions and responses to a student who might benefit from them; ask that person
to tell you what they believe you wrote, in their own words.
- Revise the article to reflect the user's comments.
- Prepare a final draft. Make sure it has the following:
- A completed Planning Form
- A final draft. Make sure it is formatted as if it were ready for publication.
- Format the questions and responses as if you were going to publish them.

- November 20: first draft due.
